Alicia Key’s (fine ass….excuse me, beautiful self) has just made the news again…no she didn’t do anything Amy Winhouselike, hell, the last time she was in the news was to talk about how she felt that Gangsta Rap music was a setup to kill black people….
…seriously…

Now even though I think that statement is one of the dumbest statements made of the past year, I do feel where I think she was attempting to come from, and since she soo puurdy, I’ll let it slide….and besides this time she’s making news headlines for something worth noting…

Yeah, she had this big show in Jakarta, Indoneisha, and once it was brought to her attention that there were tobacco sponsorship dollars and ads going into it, she immediately released the above statement and got all of those cigarette sponsors CUT off with no guarantee as to whether they’d be getting their money back…now THAT Ms. Keys is GANGSTA…
Aren’t enough artists standing up for causes they believe in anymore…no she didn’t necessarily gather a crowd of people together to march miles for freedom or nothing, but this was still gangsta though
